From the turban,

it has reached his mother’s veil

Akbar’s blood has reached the robe of Imam Hussain (as)

Zainab collapsed on Akbar’s body when it reached the tents               

Now her blood has reached the sand of karbala

Akbar’s blood has reached the robe of Imam Hussain (as)

Laila would cry out and say, “Where are you, oh Akbar?”

The oppressors hands have reached my veil

Akbar’s blood has reached the robe of Imam Hussain (as)

A cry came from the battlefield, “Father I have fallen”

Hussain stumbled finding his way to that call

Akbar’s blood has reached the robe of Imam Hussain (as)

Breaking the arrow in Akbar’s chest, the cursed one said:

“Look, Hussain, your death has arrived now.”

Akbar’s blood has reached the robe of Imam Hussain (as)

Master (Hussain) has grown old in a few moments, 

But Akbar’s body has now returned to the Prophet’s household

Akbar’s blood has reached the robe of Imam Hussain (as)

Those hands that struck down the look alike of the Prophet-

With a spear, they are snatching the women’s veils too

Akbar’s blood has reached the robe of Imam Hussain (as)
